The Himalayan Expressway passes through Shivalik range from Zirakpur to Parwanoo. This road runs 2 km in Punjab, 21 km in Haryana & 4.5 km in Himachal. The Expressway helps in bypassing congested towns of Pinjore & Kalka and is a big relief for travellers to & fro Shimla Hills. It cost ₹ 412 cr & was made by Jaypee group.
