Weather has taken a turn for good & it is a bit cooler now. And the festive season is round the corner. Therefore unwanted grass & low hanging branches of the trees were required to be pruned a bit.
If you have cow or a buffalo at home, grass would come in handy to feed them. Pruned tree branches could be stored over the roof to dry & could be used in winter to keep away the cold. In case there is no gas connection twigs & dried branches might be used for cooking as well.
These ladies in colourful saris & suits did a good job. Though it was tough working in afternoon sun but they did it with a smile. They shall make use of both grass & smaller branches at their homes.
